Not only are local profiles good for SEO but they also serve as additional outlets for your business information to help customers find you. By claiming them you can verify that all of your business information is accurate so you can be contacted when a browser finds your profile and wants to reach out. If your business info is listed incorrectly like your address or phone number potential customers may have trouble contacting you. Additionally, many of these profiles have a rating feature allowing customers to leave their reviews about their experience with your business. Positive reviews can have great impact on those who decide to become a customer or not.
You should also consider that:
In fact, many mobile devices have dedicated apps for these local profiles where they could be finding your business (example: Yelp). So, by not having these profiles completed and accurately setup you could be missing out on more customers!
Claiming each and every profile can be a bit time consuming and each profile has different means of verifying you’re the business owner but once you’re done you’ll be glad you did.
